FAQS

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?

We understand any hesitancy to register for a race that does not offer some type of refund policy.  Please know we are in a similar quandary as we must pre-pay some race expenses.  We organized this race in short order in response to another race cancellation, so the fact that our permit was just approved leaves little chance for a COVID–related cancellation.  Our race partners have succeeded in hosting several other races amidst a cancellation culture, so we feel reasonably confident the race will happen as planned.  Our policy is as follows:

  • If you request a refund 21 days or more prior to the event, your registration fee will be refunded back to original payment type.  The online processing fee will not be refunded.

  • If you request a refund 20-14 days prior to the event, you will receive 50% race credit only, less online processing fee.

  • If no request for refund is received within 14 days of the event, there will be no refunds and no race credit.  You still helped a worthy charity.

Cancellation requests should be emailed to debbieindermuehle@gmail.com

HOW WILL THE RACE ADDRESS COVID-19 GUIDELINES?

Customary precautions will be implemented.

Here’s a link to TN general guidelines: https://www.tn.gov/content/dam/tn/governorsoffice-documents/covid-19-assets/Pledge_General.pdf

IS THERE A CAP ON PARTICIPANTS?

Currently, we have permit approval for 300 participants.  Should we reach capacity, we will consider opening a waiting list to allow more runners.  We would rather limit the field and minimize the potential for cancellation than to open the floodgates and disappoint the masses

WHEN IS THE LAST DAY I CAN REGISTER?

If the race is not full, we will make same-day registration available.  We will not be able to accept cash on race day.  Only card payments will be accepted.

IS THERE A BAG-DROP?

No, there is not a bag-drop.   Packet pick-up, the parking lot, and the start/finish line are all in close proximity to each other.

ARE HEADPHONES ALLOWED?

Yes, headphones are allowed, but please use caution and be aware of others on the greenway.

ARE STROLLERS ALLOWED?

Yes.  The greenway is a public space and will not be closed to the public.  There is no charge for the extra challenge of pushing someone in a stroller.  Please note, there are some advisory signs indicating difficult inclines for wheelchair users.

ARE WALKERS ALLOWED?

Yes.  Come one, come all!  Accept the challenge!  Please plan to complete the course within 4-1/2 hours.  (That’s roughly a 20 min/mile pace.)
